The Ruth Bennett Community Farm, which is a core part of Chester Housing Authority, offers a Youth Employment Program for local residents in Chester, PA that started with Joe Joe Dukes in 2018. He was fourteen then and looking for work.
Seven years later, he's still working at the farm and envisions a career within the industry. He's not only learned how to harvest produce on the farm, but he's also gained leadership and team building skills.
The program itself has blossomed and continues every year, offering other young residents the opportunity to follow in Joe Joe's footsteps.
